I would like to mention my experience with Radio Taxi (EasyCabs) normally we call on telephone 43434343. On 28th March 2007 my relative landed up in New Delhi Railway Station in night around 2’O clock. I suggested him to call a Taxi from 43434343 and they charge Rs.15 per km at any time in 24 hours. Well they call half an before reaching the station and Taxi was there. They had to come to the Dwarka and it is around 21-22 kms and with their calculation amount should be between Rs.315-330. In night when they came and while talking I asked him how much you paid. He said Rs.440/-. where as on the slip it was having detail of total 22 kms, time of boarding 2.26 am and 2.53 was at destination.
Immediatly I complained to the 43434343 they accepted that it was wrongly taken and will be refunded by the Driver in the next morning. The Driver had given his visting card where he was running a parallel Taxi service, we called him up and he also accepted and told morning he will return the balance amount. After 28th March till date I have called them around 7-8 times and everytime the whole story I have to narrate. But No use and No response from them Neither Driver turned up nor they called up for the status. In Delhi nothing is straight forward and transparent. Whosoever gets chance he makes fool out of you.
My suggestion to the present and future users BE CAREFUL IN USING THIS SERVICE AND PLEASE TAKE A SLIP AND CHECK THE NUMBER OF KMS AND OTHER DETAIL. If meter is fiddled around then you had it. Please use it on your own risk like we are using present Taxi/Auto services. NOTHING WILL WORK OUT IN DELHI BECAUSE OUR GOVT. IS NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THIS ISSUE. Concept of this kind of service is very good if they maintain sincerety and transperancy.
