May 26, 2009 was one of the most unforgetful days in my life. Previous day(Sunday) I have called up call center and booked my cab for Monday -26th-2:30PM pickup. To my surprise I got an SMS on Monday 10 AM with dirvers mobile number. Exactly 1:30 PM, I have got a call from driver and he told me that he is in front of my house:-). We started by 1:55 PM, thought that we(me and wife) will get enough time for our flight at 5:45 to TVM.
We have reached BIAL at 3:10PM and I have paid the amount to driver(15 rs per KM).Everything was fine till this point. We have refreshed ourself on the Airport rest room and walked towards the snacks center on airport. At that point I have a thought that I have forgotten my mobile in Easycabs cab. Immediately I checked in my pocket and tried to call to my number from my wifes number. Found that my phone was SWITCHED OFF by then.
I have rushed to the easycabs parking bay and thankfully I have kept my bill with me. Shown that to the person in charge at the arrival bay. With the help of that guy I have found the cab immediately in the parking bay and seaarched throughly the car. But no luck. I have patiently explained the incident to the Quality manager of easycabs(Sasikant) over there. He with the help of other easycabs collegues question that driver and got the info from him that 2 other persons got into the cab on the way to parking bay after dropping me.
We called them as well and as expected they were reluctant to comment. By this time it was 4:30 PM. I have given all my contacts to Sasikant and rushed to the departure terminal. After reaching TVM also I kept on calling sasikant for the updates and he has told me that he has seized the Vehicle(It wont run for Easycabs until the investigation is over). I have blocked my SIM and tried to block my mobile too using IMEI number. But in India we cant block any mobile by doing that provided its not of any special case like terrorism.
After reaching bglre I contacted sasikant again and he asked me to come to the office of easycabs so that we can have a face to face to talk and inquiry of this matter with driver and owner of the car. I went to the office and after having a series of discussions regarding the things happened on that day they are ready to give me a compensation of 2500/-rs(Which was collected from that driver) for the stolen mobile.
Alltogether the act from the Easycabs mgmt was very much professional and intact. I really appreciate the service and quick solution of my problem.
