Am a big example of a victim and fool who got trapped in their Marketing propaganda. Being in a profession where I have to do frequent and end minute decided travel to PAN India, I need to opt for services which can help me to reach my destinations. And since need to take early morning or return by late night flight/train so it becomes important to have secure GPS monitored cab services.
Incidents which I have faced:
1) Card Payment: Being on official travel prefer to use corporate card wherever possible. Easy cab being marketed as best cab service accepting secure card payment, I got my card swiped. Instead of Rs.320, the driver swiped for Rs.3320. Then I took call center on call, where they discussed with the driver and asked me to send bank statement that its been deducted and also not credited back.
I did. But from last 1 year am continuously putting reminders on their customer service email ID, doing calls every week to easy cabs call center, but still after all assurance not a single penny is returned back.
2) Criminal drivers: Few days later to earlier incident, I again dared to book easy cabs, as cabs were not available with other cab services. I asked specifically that since its late winter night I had limited cash in my wallet so may be paying by card(knowing I am a fool. Expecting that earlier incident refund will be getting). I took the cab. After few kilometers, the driver started arguing that since you have opted for card payment, but you will have to pay cash. I tried to convince him, but he started arguing. I tried to take the call center on call, but they said that I have opted but its on driver whether he accepts card or not. After that the driver started fighting that pay cash immediately for the distance traveled or get out of the cab.
There was no ATM nearby he told me that he will take me 4-5 km back or some other way to find ATM but I will need to pay for the extra kms too. He was not ready to take to my destination route till the time I go to ATM with him. Dont know what his intention was. After that he forced me to get out of the cab immediately and he did so. I tried to call police on 100 but by that time he forced me to get out of the cab. In peek winter night by 12.30 am I was alone standing on the road and thanks to god that I get an auto and I reached home safely.
3) Assurance of making next trip up to Rs.500 free if cab dont turn up: Last travel which I opted again with easy cabs after 6-7 months as again was not getting any other cab. It was 6.30 am train I had to catch. The cab didnt turned up. When contacted several times with call center they assured of sending other cab soon. Instead of cab I get an SMS that due to unavailability of cab they are not able to provide me cab and next trip up to Rs.500 would be free. I missed the train and my whole travel plan needed to be cancelled.
Tonight I am returning back and called easy cab to book the cab with last time ID so that at least I could get wavier availed, but the call center whole team refused to accept my booking if I want the waiver. All their team and the escalations told me that they could not provide me waiver facility and if I need to avail cab will have to do normal booking. Thankfully I have got availability with other cab service and am saved to get into trap with them again.
Felt to share this with mass immediately, so that no one else could become victim EASILY with EASY CABS.
For me now its a resolution to be aware from these type of fraud service providers and to avoid when not possible then also.
