I am writing this with regret to inform that EasyCabs service has caused great inconvenience to me recently.
I am a resident at Jalahalli Village. And Iam a regular user of Cab Services in Bangalore. I have used Meru Cabs, Easy Cabs and others earlier. Almost all were long distance trips until recently when my Parents had to catch their train from Yeshwantpur Station at 23:30 p.m.
So I called up Meru Cabs at 3:00 p.m the same day to book the cab. They told me theres no availability of cabs till next day.
Hence I called up EasyCabs, and they took my booking. Pick-up time was 22:45 p.m. They even sent me the sms with my Booking Id, so I was pretty much relaxed.
Late at night 22:40 p.m the Cab was not available, and there were no sms from EasyCabs.
So I called up EasyCabs to check the status. And to my shock it was told to me that My Booking is not confirmed due to non availability of cab in my area. EasyCabs told me that they even sent an SMS for the cancellation of booking, and because of Network problem it has not reached through me.
(I received that SMS after 10 minutes of this talk.)
I faced a great inconvenience due to this as I couldnt find any Auto Rickshaw at night 11 p.m and had to drop my parents on my Bike. Had to make 2 trips to Railway Station. I managed to get their train only because it was a short distance and theres not much traffic at night.
Atleast EasyCabs should have the courtesy to call and inform their customers about any cancellation of booking.
My suggestion to all Cab users will be to have a back-up plan to avoid any such inconvenience, specially when you are booking with EasyCabs. Try to call up EasyCabs 2 hours before to check your status, specially when it is a short distance trip.
