I recent took an easyjet flight from Belfast international to Schipol Airport, Amsterdam having booked my flight over the internet. I was extremely impressed by the entire service provided.
I must admitt that the ITV televison programme had left me feeling slightly sceptically regarding the flight - all they seemed to show was irrate customers fighting with bolishy check-in staff! I was taking no chances - as it was an international flight we got to the airport in the specificied 2 hours prior to departure. Check in had just opened and the queue was minimal.
The check-in staff efficently checked in our luggage and provided us with our boarding card - a bright orange piece of card which informed us that we were priority numbers 48 and 49.
Off we went to the bar to while away an hour (we were early l was taking no chances!!) and a wee drink - purely medicinal which lm sure you’ll all understand.
Easy jet did not provide calls to head to the departure gates so we had to keep a check on the time and this is something l would advise potential passengers to remember - it is all to easy to have a drink or wander round the tax free shopping area and loose all track of time.
Once we got throught the departure security checks, it was plain sailing. The flight was on time and boarded easily. Another difference with easyjet is that it is free seating so basically you sit where you want. We were very lucky on the way over to get a row to ourselves which is great for leg room.
Cabin staff did their checks, prior to take of told a few funnies (allegedly!) and we were off. On board we were give the opportunity to purchase some beverages and snacks - l though had come prepared so l did not have to worry about the expense. It cost £1.50 for a coffee - expensive so l was right to bring my own.
The captain kept us informed of various items of interest - weather etc and before we knew it - it was time for landing.
The return journey was as painfree as the previous add this with the fact that for 2 adults the price was £86 including taxes how can l complain! I was sceptical before l got the flight but l can safely say l will be flying easy jet in the future.
I booked the flights on the internet at https://easyjet.co.uk and have written a previous opinion on such for those of you who are interested. Easy jet seem to be expanding both their domestic and European flight base all the time and for us as consumers this is great. Im flying with them to Liverpool shortly and l expect the same level and quality of service.
