EAT! EAT! EAT! While youre at it have a drink or two and take a drag from one
of the many-flavored hookahs. Our hunt for the perfect place to EAT ended
sometime last month. We had heard about this place, called EAT, opened up at
Interface 11, Mindspace. It took us a while to find it, since it’s nicely tucked
away into the ground-floor of the Interface11 Bldg. But its flavors sure
beckoned us there. First, the location is just perfect for Mindspaceites, esp.
those in the Interface area. Secondly, the range of food on the menu is just
perfect; pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, salads, mocktails, burgers, omlettes,
breads and more. We have been there at least once every week and simply love it.
Then comes the music, which is a bit regular, but somehow just fits in.
The
staff is courteous and u can strike a conversation with them, without any
awkward pauses. They also appear interested in feedback and hear you out, though
the feedback we had was all very, very good. The service is fast. The fries to
kill for. The pastas to die for and the sandwiches just right. The burgers
remind me of the original burgers, before they all tasted like processed food;
very Bandra-Irani-restaurant kind-of taste. Very nice! The Pastas range from
Alfredos and Arabiattas; green, red, white, Pesto sauce-based. Pretty authentic
tasting and no extra-tadka added! Loved it. The iced teas and mocktails could do
with some more variety, but the presentation is great.
The ambience is
wonderful; gives a very spacious feel; with one huge side-window; could easily
sit there, sip on a tea, munch on a fry and watch the world go by. We have
visited the place only for lunch, really should go there for dinner, would be
fab, am sure.
Oh, and did I mention the desserts? They haveGooey chocolate
cake which is TRUE to its name. The chocolate crumble creates a rumble in your
tummy; you really want more. The pricing is pretty good, a complete meal would
come to around 300 per person, including a starter, main course, drink and
shared dessert. But then desserts are best had, shared. Best of all, it opens at
9.30 a.m; breakfast anybody? And it is open till 1 a.m. Yumm. Head out to
Interface 11, right away. Visit EAT without missing a beat.
