Review On Baazee.com

Hello Friends !

many from you have requested for a review on baazee.com , now known as ebay. So now I would like to narrate my experiences to you , I purchased many items from baazee, and experiences with some were sweet while with some were bitter.

so to start with , first of all I would like to tell you all one thing , baazee.com is not a product manufacturer , neither its a retailer, its just a common platform where shopkeepers and customers from all over india come together and then the customer can choose what he wants. The process begins with either placing a bid or directly purchasing the desired product on the prices given , now bid system is losing its glory because chances of someone winning are very less , instead people opt for searching for the same product in all the dealers and then choosing the least priced one , the prices are not decided by baazee or ebay.in . They are decided by the shopkeepers , or the party which wishes to sell items . Now comes the role of baazee , they get a commission on every sale , that is some percentage of the total price , the price for advertising a shopkeeper over internet.

So this comes to the point , that several shop owners can keep similar product , eg nokia phone , one shop is offering you at 5000 rupees and another at 4500 rupees , you choose the one who is offering least price and then choose for buying , read the description of the product completely , and then only order it , the important thing is to check the warranty , and the accessories supplied with the items , and the seller rating .One most important thing is shipping charge , I have seen many sellers reducing the mrp of the product and increasing the shipping charges , for example one shop is offering bluetooth dongle at a price of rupees 1000 and shipping charge of rupees 200 , another one is offering the same product at 1050 and a shipping charge of rupees 20 , in the first glance people will opt for the first seller i.e 1000 , but look carefully the shipping charges and then only decide .This is applicable for the secondhand products too.Generally secondhand goods are sold by personnel like us , i.e. normal customers , in that case they generally provide the phone number or e-mail id , contact them and know the inside out of the product.

Deciding upon good sellers : good sellers are rated as per the user reviews , this one can be a good metric for deciding from where the product should be purchased , if someone has a good rating but is asking for 50 or 100 rupees more then definitely go for it , rather than purchasing from a non trusted seller.

As I said bazzee.com is just a platform , its not responsible if the product you recieve is damaged , or faulty , in this case you have no other option left , but just call the seller over phone or contact him on his e-mail.

Payment methods and security :

Every transaction on baazee.com is carried over a secure 128bit SSL Encryption system to provide you the security. This technique is generally used nowadays especially while using a credit card over internet . Your security is guaranteed.

Cheque / Drop Box : This is the lengthiest of all the methods . you drop a cheque of the specified amount , in an ATM drop box , the cheque needs some time for clearing , and after the cheque is cleared the product is shipped , this process usually requires around 20-30 working days.

Credit card : This is generally the fastest method , the process works like this

  1. You place an order.

  2. You choose for the credit card option.

  3. A page is displayed , this webpage is generated by baazee.com asking you the

bank and other options like credit card type visa/mastercard , etc.

  1. A page is displayed asking for the credit card number and the security code , and various other fields. This page is not displayed by baazee.com , its generated by the bank, e.g. hdfc, icici , citibank gateway etc. its like the bank asking ’’ Baazee.com is asking for xyz amount , should I pay him the specified sum ? ’’ , . and then when you click yes the operation is done , and immediately the product is shipped , usually on the same working day.

many people fear that , what will happen if suddenly the light goes off , or the computer crashes , when you have clicked the OK button , but are not acknowledged by the bank , always remember that the transactions over credit card are atomic , i.e. either they occur completely , or they do not , so either you order is completely placed or it is not , so you don’t have to worry , in case of power failure , you can later collect the receipt for the same , it is stored in your account for further retrieval.

Demand Draft : you mail the seller the dd , this is similar in working to the cheque method , but required less time , as just like cheque it does not require clearance from bank.

Paisa Pay : This is the newest method based on the credit card system and online bank transfer , there’s a dedicated server , you create an account , the money is transferred virtually , and with the help of bank it is transferred in physical form.

My Experiences : I have purchased many products from baazee , but all from trusted sellers.

some gifts were physically damaged , but the seller had it replaced , remember , it was a free gift and not the product itself , the seller could have refused to do so , . one more thing , check the methods of shipment , if they say through post , then do not purchase some fragile items , as you know , how indian postal services handle objects :) , I paid the amount using credit card , and the product reached within 10 days , all the time .

some sellers nowadays use porn images to get customer attraction to their products , the product is a mobile phone , and the picture is of pamela anderson :):) , do not go for such stupid sellers , baazee should do something about that .

I hope this review is useful for you all , keep commenting !
