I’ve been old eBay consumer purchasing many equipments. I have also recommended many friends to use eBay as it is a good platform. I pick and choose my seller based on old user reviews and ratings. This has always been my primary preference and a main reason to choose this platform when compared with other online shopping mechanism like Flipkart etc.,
I feel cheated when I recently purchased an item (ID 270983856130) from a "POWERSELLER" rating ’3086’ by seller name ’android.curve1’. Soon after purchase eBay sent me sellers contact details as usual.
I tried to contact this seller to know more details of the item that I had purchased and the seller did not communicate well/ clarify. I tried to contact him again and he would not respond my calls. After a couple of days he updated the shipping/tracking courier details as M21145392-FirstFlight. I was expecting the product to the delivered and as expected it was a fake waybill number. I waited for a week and the product was not shipped. Hence applied for a refund. eBay would ask me to wait for 5 days and on the fifth day the seller blocked the refund.
I felt cheated by this fraudulent seller and raised a complaint in eBay court. After paying Rs. 2000/- on purchasing this item from a ’Powerseller’ and waiting for over a month I feel cheated. First by the Seller and Second by eBay by not resolving this dispute.
I have lost time and money and have procured this equipment by other means as I use this item for work.
To my surprise I have seen this fraudulent seller doing the same to others aswell. Many other users have reported the same issue.
I do not understand why eBay is hesitant in blocking this fraudulent seller. I have lost both money and time in trading with eBay and would refrain from using this. Also would not recommend this to any friends in future.
