Had the worst ever experience dealing with e bay as a buyer recently when I placed an order for Micromax a 110q through them. On receiving the product after 05 days it was found that the product was defective and accordingly ebay was contacted. They had a rude way of talking and advised for arranging to send the product back to dealer but did not arrange any pick back of the defective product.
After a lot of harassment at the Micromax service station and getting it packed with their note when I sent the product back to the dealer with one copy of awb forwarded to e bay and another to dealer. The dealer didn’t care even to acknowledge, but we had to track and prove that the product is already now with him and as per his words, should ship the replacement to me, he too started acting indifferent.
However, finally after about a week time I was sent a replacement, now this time by speed post and not by Bluedart as was done initially, as ebay and blue dart are partners. Luckily, the product reached ok. However despite escalating the complaint level, e bay representative never bothered to assist the replacement, nor ever called back. I have the complaint no. 1-14893348517 which was never answered till date.
On finally, after receipt of product as replacement, when again for the last time I contacted the ebay customer care, to ask about status of escalated complaint and reasons of them not calling back, they had no explanations and just to say a word ‘SORRY’. On asking how are they refunding the cost of courier, which was to send back the defective set back to the dealer, they just say that they would only give some discount coupons and that some more purchases would now will have to be done on same to redeem the same and they cannot refund cost in DD or cheque as the same is not in their policy.
In NUTSHELL, Ebay is a big bunch of fraud and prospective buyers should refrain from it, a pathetic experience to share with you all.
