I had a strange issue with Ebay.in recently. My account which was created without any hassles got suspended from ebay. I tried to reactivate it, it didnt allow. Finally I decided to chat with their CSR team.
To my shock, he asked me to send my PAN card and Address proof. I asked him to provide the details in the weblink so that I can trust what he is saying is correct. But he never gave the link.
Why do Ebay want my PAN card and Voter’s ID? Was it mentioned during account creation?
Are you sending any free gifts to my house with these? No. I never wish to reveal my personal identity to strangers untill I get a written document.
Users kindly beware of these pranks. Revealing PAN card number to these shopping sites can land in trouble.
