The third book in the twilight saga, this is the book where most of the action takes place when compared to all other books in the series. The vampire Victoria is furious with Edward for killing her Lover James and has raised a deadly army of newborn vampires in order to exact revenge on Edward by killing Bella and making him suffer. The werewolves and the vampires join hands to save Bella.
The old enemies, the Blacks and the Cullens, are brought together in an unlikely companionship with one goal, to save Bellas lives. No doubt Bella is a trouble magnet like Edward had observed right in the first book. What ensues is a fierce battle with the Cullens and the werewolves on one side and the army of newborn vampires on the other. The deadly army is destroyed and the Cullens and the Blacks emerge victorious. Bella and Edward decide to get married and to turn Bella into a vampire.
The vampires are referred as thecold ones and compared to Ice where as the werewolves are compared to fire.
The story is told from Bellas point of view. Its a splendid read, action packed, filled with elements of folklore, unveiling of secrets and the power of love and sacrifice.
