Edx is a non-profit organisation which imparts online courses for the student. Student from any corner of the world can pursue the courses the edx provides. All he/she needs is Internat connection and a computer device. Esx provides courses of the leading universities of the world like Harvard university, Oxford, Lovain, MIT, London University, IVY league colleges, Peking university, IIM Bangalore etc.
The subjects are from the every strata of the life. It includes Sciences, Social aciences, Law, Humanities, Art and Culture, Computer sciences, Biology, Bioinformatics, Finacial Markets , Economics, Commercial subjects, History, Psychology etc.
In Edx there are various courses and three types of programs available. Xseries, Professional and Micromasters. These programs have a bundle of courses which students can adopt individually or in group also. If student enrol in the whole program they will get a program certificate otherwise they will get an individual course certificate.
Xseries - This program is mainly designed for the students who are currently doing their graduates.
Professional- This program is for the employees who are doing the work in practicle field.
Micromasters - This program is for the Industrialists and experts who want to excel in a particular field.
Certification- Edx provide two types of certificate, one is for the individual course and other is for the program. But not all schools provide certificates, it is up to that school which is providing the course. All the certificates are provided in aoft copy by the Edx. A special link for the certificate qill also be provided by the edx for quick reference. Student can print the certificates or can save them on their online edx account. Certificate will be provided to only those students whose ID verification is complete. Edx requires your photo and a government authorised ID proof.
Fee structure - All the certificate are paid and costs vary from course to course. Generally Xseries course are cheaper than the professionals and the micromasters are the most expensive. Edx accept payment in Dollars through the Debit or Credit Card or by PayPal account. So make sure that before enrolling in a course you should have a debit or credit card which permits international transaction or you can have the PayPal account Balance.
Time duration - In Edx there are three type of courses on the basis of time duration. First, they have a fixed time frame as 4 or 8 weeks. Second, they are self- paced, means they can be done by student’ s own speed. Third, they are archived, which are ended. Students can pursue archived courses also but they won’t get certificate for them.
Benefits- Edx certificates and courses help students across the world to learn from the top universities and colleges of the world. Certificates can be added in the Resumes also and it will increase your Resume value.
Review - The service that is provided by the Edx is extremely good. I really impressed by the courses that are provided and recently I succesfully completed a course from the Harvard university. It was a Xseries course and took about 2 month of mine. I got a certificate on paying $125.
