Story

Ek Ajnabee tells us the story of a retired Army Colonel Mr. Suryaveer Singh played by Big B himself who is assigned the task of protecting a child in Bangkok by Arjun Rampal Well, the child in question is played by newcomer Rucha Vaidya. Rucha plays the daughter of millionaire parents (played by Ms. Gracious Perizaad Zorabian and Vikram Chatwal). This movie brings to fore the kidnapping industry that is very prominent in Thailand. Big B has a questionable past where he had killed two innocent children by accident Raj Zutshi who plays the gangster in this movie does a brilliant job and manages to kidnap the girl. The rest of the movie is all about big B going all the way to get the girl back safely in the hands of her parents.

Big B does it again in style.

The plot of this movie is quite original. Bachchan plays the role of retired Indian Army Colonel Suryaveer Singh who is called to Bangkok by Shekhar (Arjun Rampal) for an assignment. The assignment is to be the bodyguard of an eight-year-old, Anamika (Rucha Vaidya). Anamika is the only daughter of a millionaire couple (Vikram Chatwal and Perizaad Zorabian). Bachchan is totally upset from his life and want to suicide but he got inspired about life from little kid Anamika (Rucha Vaidya) and he protect her like his close one not as a bodyguard. The spate of kidnappings in Thailand leaves the couple with no option but to look for a bodyguard for their daughter. Anamika’s mother prefers a bodyguard who would be a friend to her daughter as well. Suryaveer’s past haunts him. During war with terrorists in the Kashmir Valley, Suryaveer accidentally shoots dead two children. Rucha Vaidya matches Amitabh through the first half of the movie as she breathes in life into the dead soul of Suryaveer and gives him a new meaning to life. But hell breaks loose when Anamika is kidnapped by a notorious gang (Raj Zutshi plays the gang leader). Bachan promises to secure her and swears to bring the culprits to book.

The first half of this movie is very pacy, thanks to the beautiful cinematography and apporva’s screenplay. Dialogues are quit good. Among the brilliant scenes.

The song ’’Tere Liye mere saanseh...’’ is nice and soft.

Among the performances, raj zutshi and perizaad are excellent. But the two who really lift this movie, are the pillars of the film, Amitabh and Rucha.

I recommend this movie to everybody. It is a must-watch!

In short:

Watch it atleast once. You may want to watch it again very soon.

The highlights:

  1. Big B. He is rocking even at 63. Time to learn from him guys!

  2. Action. Slick and power packed.

  3. Background score. It is of high quality.
