Well, I had made a advance booking for this movie online at PVR cinemas, blore. I thought it could be a nice little surprise for my wife , me returning early from office and taking her to a movie on a weekday(friday!! I beleive , the first day it got released in blore). well, the movie is not upto the mark inspite of the starcast and the exorbitant ticket price in PVR(hold on, I know this should go into PVR review :( ).
Sharmila Tagore is wasted, Saif Ali Khan is confused all the time, Amitabh just stares at us from the big screen with a apologetic look. I had to keep stealing popcorn from my wife’s hand to keep myself awake.
There is no strong sequence in the movie that showcases or I would say justifies the story. I could not draw any parellels b/w amitabh’s role and actual eklavya. Sanjay Dutt plays the role of a DSP cum comedian.
Overall there is a lot of hype , not gripping at all. a dark movie.
