No one likes to wash dishes! I know I don’t. That is why I have a dishwasher and their names are…just kidding, I do have a regular dishwasher. Choosing the right type of dishwasher soap can sometimes be sort of hard to do. Do you choose the most expensive or the least expensive? If you are like me you look for the least expensive that will still do the job. But for some people, they will use a certain brand no matter the cost and that is fine too.
There is one brand on the market that makes both a Gelpac™ and a 2 in 1 Tab™ with Jet dry™. This is a review about one of the two. (I will write about the other soon.)
The Product
Electrasol® Sparkling Citrus™ Deep Cleaning Gelpacs™ will dissolve quickly and clean those dishes, pots and pans with no problems.
This product is an advanced concentrated gel that works fast while leaving a sparkling shine on everything in your dishwasher. I love them! Actually I am torn between the Gelpacs™ and the 2 in 1 Jet Dry™. So, I use them both!
You simply throw one in per load of dishes and it will dissolve and clean. However, your hands should be dry before handling, so that the Gelpac doesn’t start to dissolve in your hands. And you do not unwrap the packaging around the cleaner.
Each Gelpac is individually wrapped. When you first open you box you will find them all in a zip locked bag, which you simply tear the top off and then undo the seal. I usually poor mine back into the box after removing from the zip locked bag.
You can place the Gelpac where you normally would put dishwasher cleaner or do like I do and just drop in. They are already pre measured for you and one is usually enough for one load like I stated above.
The scent is very pleasant, not strong at all.
They come in a square yellow box with the Electrasol® name written in big, white, bold letters and a wine glass in the background. There are 20 in the package that I bought costing me 2.56 at my local Wal Mart. 20 Gelpacs equals a 75 oz bottle of gel cleaner of any brand. Net Wt. 17.6 oz (1lb).
Cautions
Please keep out of reach of those little hands attached to children. You should also avoid rubbing your eyes after handling.
In case of eye contact you should immediately rinse with water. If your skin is exposed to the cleaner you should wash the area quickly and call your doctor if irritation occurs and continues. And of course if the little ones should happen to swallow one call your local Poison Control Center or their doctor right away. With my rambunctious grandson here for a visit we had to tie the cabinet doors under the sink together to keep him out!
Ingredients
“The formula for this product is not more than 6.2% phosphorus by weight. In the form of phosphates, which is equivalent to 1.72 grams per Gelpac.”

How I Feel
I have used just about every dishwasher detergent on the market, from name brands to store brands. I have some store brands that work just as well as the name brands. But, I have mostly bought Electrasol® products. I like them the best over all.
I like the shine that I get by using this product and the fact that the dishes do come clean. I will allow some soaking before using the dishwasher depending on the food.
I like the smell of this citrus because it is not a strong smell. And I love the convenience of use. Just throw one it and I am set to turn the dishwasher on. Really easy to do!
The price is also right and you can find coupons for Electrasol as well as print one off from their website.
I hope that this has helped in some kind of way.
God Bless!
