Infact, whatever little information I got from Mouthshut and the like was of immence utility. However, it was pure luck that I landed in this hotel. Surprisingly, the information given on the net doesnt fair well when you actually try to get in touch with the hotels of Matheran or book rooms or enquire about the tariff rates.
Cecil is the surprise of Matheran. Located near to the railway station, very approachable from market yet perfectly in the woods. And when its comes to value for your money. just dont try anything else. It is an honest price and you dont have to be the STREET SMART Indian to haggle about the tariff and settle for mutually agreeable tariff. like in other hotels.
Its straight Rs. 850/- per day per person with 04 meals(no limit for humans) inclusive of tea/ coffee, evening snacks and milk for kids.
Everything is good about the place. the hygiene, environment, service, that feeling of being at home and easy accessibility at Matheran.
