Since I live in New York, the main amusement park here is Six flags Great Adventure. The prices are sky high, and so is everything else going on in the amusement park. First, to get in, a regular ticket will cost me $44.95 plus tax. So, jus to get in, I am paying approximately $50.00. Naturally, I will have to buy some food. For lunch, assume I buy a medium soft drink and two slices of pizza. That will come to $7.50 So far my bill at great adventure is up to $57.50. I ride a few rides, and then enter the arcade. If I play 4 games, $.50 a game, that is $2.00. So now my bill is $59.50. For dinner, I get a bacon cheeseburger with fries, and a big soda. That is about $8.00. Now the bill is $67.50! The day is over. Oh yeah, I forgot one more thing. Parking. That is 10 more bucks. Sure, you mite of had a fun day at Great Adventure but you had to pay through the nose. $77.50. Lot of money, isn’t it? Now, imagine if you go with another person. Then your final bill may reach $150! Then picture a family of 5 going to the amusement park. They may pay up to $350!
So, next time you go to an amusement park, think- is it really worth it?
