The ’fun place’is how escape describes itself ;Its the most happening hangout in Hyderabad. The spacious roomy design with a bar and the PJ console in the centre make escape a pub with a difference.
I escape to this pub quite often to get nostalagic. The music out here is refreshingly different from the routine trash heard in other desi pubs.
The music ranges from love songs of Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, Elton John, Richard Marx, Billy Joel etc., early in the evening followed by rock-hardrock of G’N’R, Def Lep, Metalica, Deep Purple, Aerosmith....gradually transforming into trance styled techno & indi-pop ,
and finally ’comes back to life’ with timeless killer rock classic songs of Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Doors, Ossy, Van Halen etc, .
For me its truly walking down the memory lane of music, until, sometimes this irrestibly hummable tempo and beautiful mood of music degenerates to indi-re-mixes for a section of the crowd (mostly sandal/Chappal wearing types). Unfortunately the managament here has no sartorial standards. ’All’ r welcome.
In contrast to the widest range of music , the cocktail section has hardly any varities. SEX ON THE BEACH (Vodka peach schnapps and orange juice)is the best cocktail here. Other cocktails (all cocktails are priced at Rs.75/-)like Bees’ kiss (white & dark rum with honey and cream)and devils angel(vodka and dark rum with cream ) can be sampled if U can wash down the taste with chilled beer.
In all , Escape is as of now the best pubs around with a remarkably mature music, great service and reasonable rates.
