One of the best books I've read

I’ve read all of Jean Sasson’s books but this one is the best for me. Perhaps it is because it is so timely after 9/11 as this book is the first one that truly opens a window of understanding as to why the entire world is affected by a small country with a tiny population.

The characters seem real and I cared very much about what happened to them. I fell in love with Demetrius Antoun and wish that he were not a fictional character. If he were not, I’d fly to Lebanon or Israel or wherever he ends and try to find him!

I don’t want to make light of a serious book just because the characters came to life in such an absorbing manner. I thought Jean Sasson did a wonderful job with non-fiction with her PRINCESS TRILOGY, but she soars with fiction.

If you are looking for a book that entertains while it educates, then this is a book for you.

I’m going to give this book to everyone I know come Christmas. They’ll love me for it unless they are ignorant!
