I am a frequent flyer.In 2012, when I came back from Toronto to Chennai, I booked Economy on Etihad.Through Goibibo.Since their fare prices were lowest at that time.Their service was ok.Flight attended were ok too.I had already registered for their Air miles program.I did not follow up since I thought my account will already have the due Air miles credited.And Etihad’s emails go into "Promotions" folder in Gmail.so I did not bother to look.
Recently I realized that their email update on my Air mile account balance shows 0 miles.I wrote to them.They promptly responded asking for my boarding passes. Does anyone save their Boarding passes for eternity.? I told them I dont have it.And forwarded them the Goibibo email confirmation.They still want the ticket. To Retro claim the miles.With the record of all travel in their system, they harass you asking for all documents that you will never keep for more than a month.
