I long had wished to buy a vacuum cleaner and sought to buy it from a branded company’eureka forbes’.
Once my mind was made up, I ordered a demo of the product by calling them up. Trouble started then itself, the representative knew only kannada and they didn’t have any staff knowing english/hindi. Finally, next day they managed to call me up and talk in english.
They came very promptly for the demo of the product and impressed very well with words about the product. Finally, after all the talk and clarifications, I agreed to purchase the product. He asked for payment then itself and refused to accept an advance amount. Despite my arguments, at last I kept some amount of trust in the fellow thinking that its a big MNC. He told he’ll call me up later and tell the order no. and details of the delivery.
Hell started after this as there was no call or trace of the fellow! I got totally upset and called up their office numbers, just to hear their automated answering machine. Luckily one day I managed to get through the call to customer care and then thrashed at them for their negligence. Very politely they told that they will look into the matter and no action I could see after that too. I managed to get the guys number and name and called him repeatedly for status.
Daily he would give false promises and say it’s on the way and will reach in 5 mins. After about 3 weeks of torture it finally arrived. And during delivery, I wasnt at home, my wife received it. After using it, it was an absolute waste of money. It barely has enuff power to vacuum any dust and creates a lot of noise. After few mins of use, it turned off all of sudden and we got frustrated to max. at that moment. Hours later when we switched on, it luckily seemed to work again. It seems, the thing over heats quickly and shuts off as precaution.
I definitely have learnt my lesson from all this and advice anyone out there to stay away from these crooks called eureak forbes
