Very good water purifier and good service

I had bought the Crystal water purifier on jan 4 2008 (at a discounted price of Rs.5900 ) from Ratna Stores , Trichy, tamilnadu.


Though it took jan end to fit the purifier. They used to come only in noon time. The service person who installed had neatly installed the water purifier. He also mentioned us Do’s and Don’ts .


Till now I had not faced any problem. Water doesn’t smell bad . Actually my baby (1+ yr old) illness(like fever, cold etc) got reduced after using this water purifier. We give her the water directly (from crystal purifier) without boiling. 2 months back they done the first free service , and cleaned the filter .


Do’s and don’ts:

  1. Don’t keep it on , unless it is used.

  2. Leave first 2 glass of water from the purifier , if it is not used for more than 2 days.

  3. When intalled first, leave 4 to 5 litres of water and after that start using . Its because the parts are new, and you may get some smell . Same thing after servicing , leave 4 to 5 litres of water before using it.

  4. Read the instruction manual first.

Best Features of this Product:

  1. Inbuilt stabilizer.

  2. Faster water output than other similar water purifiers. 2 litres/minute

  3. Flush to drain stagnated water

  4. it has sediment filter, activated carbon filter and  Ultra-Violet Purification .

  5. auto power off, if it is not used.

That’s it.


I checked other options like RO systems, but in RO systems, if membrane gets damaged - it will cost 70% of the purifier cost.


And also in RO systems, it removes minerals from water. Actually we get some minerals only from water. So, RO systems is not good for family childrens, as the children who use RO water, can’t adopt to other water outside.
