Eureka Forbes Aquaguard Crystal Water Purifier

Rude, poor and absolutely pathetic service

I had purchased an aqua guard forbes crystal June 16th last year. The installation was fine except that there was a part missing (water tubing) which the dealer promptly provided and comepleted installation. Afetr this it has been one year of continual misery.


The first time it broke down, I called and was told that a technician will come the next day. After repeated calling he came after 10 days. And told me there was a major problem and he cant fix it. Then after another 10 days of calling repeatedly another person came and this time took it away to his shop to be repaired. They fixed it back after 6 days (promised time was next day).


After 4 days the unit started leaking from the bottom of the filter and refused to supply water from the regular outlet. Called them again. Same thing.. this time it took almost 32 days before they came and checked and said water pressure was too high and something had broken in the cartridge. Again they took it away and fixed it after 4-5 days.  This time the technician told me that if I took an AMC on the product (my warranty had expired by now.) I would get better service and they would come every 6 months to service it.   Like a fool I actually believed him and paid Rs.1890 for a two year AMC. (through Sunshine services Authorised service agents for eureka forbes in new thippasandra , bangalore) .


On August 29th my unit stopped working and when I called them they said someone will attend you tomorrow. Since then I have called everyday and I get the same answer. Today (10th sept) I asked to speak to their manager (one Mr. jagadish) and when I asked him to refund my money if they could not provide the service he hung up the phone and ever since has not picked up my call. I am planning to go to consumer court to file a complaint. I do not know if this is a franchise or eureka forbes direct but this has been a complete nightmare. I would recommend that instead of buying aquaguard just flush your money down the drain.  that is how frustrating it has been. In comparison it has been an absolute pleasure to deal with Samsung. their service has been fantastic. I have a fridge, microwave, washing machine from samsung and they have been superb in their service. I wish  samsung also made water filters.
