On 3rd Aug 2014 the sales rep came to show the demo.After all the hula he said UF filters can remove heavy metal contaminants I did not believe that he called his manager he clarified that I can go with Enhance UV which also remove heavy metal contaminates.
This sales guy was working for Eureka Forbes for last 3 years he does not know difference between RO VS UF VS UV I got skeptical initially, since he was showing some courtesy by confirming things every now and then with his manager when I asked for more clarity I believed him.
I went ahead and gave advance(receipt - 392, bill no - 014397) for Rs 1000/- he said the purifier will arrive in 1 week. Then service guy will install the appliance free of cost.
This was prior to verifying reviews about aqua guard on Web since we were using eureka vacuum cleaner from last 15 years we never had to go to service center for repair their was no service issues therefore I believed it will be the same with water purifier.Next day I browsed through reviews 90% of them were bad reviews I got startled I even came to know that the replacement filter cost is Rs 4, 200/- not Rs 1200 taken back by the lies sales guy has told me I called the sales rep and asked him to cancel the order on 5th Aug.I get a call from his manager immediately asking for the reason I told him the lies told by the sales guy regarding the replacement filter guess what the manager says if you cancel the booking you would not get back the 1000 advance I have paid this was is first response.I called sales guy to get an assurance for after sales service the way his manager spoke to me I got a sense of the situation I am in, he should have said I will take care of your service personally I would have let them install the purifier even if it is a lie.I raised a service ticket for cancelling the booking by calling the cust support rep in the call center I got ticket no. Another surprise around 20th of Aug I get a call from courier guy that I have received a courier from eureka Forbes I asked him to return it back.
Eureka Forbes is a cheat company who are conserve sales guys who lie and dupe customers the confidence with the manager spoke to me regarding not returning advance he was using a Satirical tone.I will never buy any product from this company again.I came across many instances the way Eureka Forbes sales guys used to take pride in the job they doing I guess that history.I will never forget when I was kid Eureka forbes sales rep was adamant for a appointment for a demo and the way he carried himself during the demo there was no actual need for vacuum cleaner I guess my father liked the sales demo he still bought it.I heard a speech(personality development program) by an MLA who worked in Eureka Forbes for 8 years as sales rep later he fought an election based on the good will he has earned and won, such a shame what the company has come to.
