The working of Aquaguard is best upto 1 year

I brought the Aquaguard in Bangalore on 03/Feb/2016.


Pros:


1) The Aquaguard comes with 1 year warranty.


2) Has mineral Levels button to increase and decrease the quantity of Sweetness in the water(Its recommended to keep it at Average because us of more minerals will make the Filter to be replaced soon because of more work.


3) Looks very good. Build quality is fine.


4) The stand for the cup has a mesh below which lets the excess water drop down. But if mounted on top there is spill over and requires lot of cleaning.


Cons:


1) Bad customer service support.


2) The coils has to be replaced every 1year which will cost around Rs.4900/-


The Aquaguard needs to be serviced every 6 months as recommended by the seller themselves. But they dont contact you anytime in that time period. Which is Pathetic because thats what you pay a company for.


At the time of purchase I had claimed an Extended warranty through Bajaj which they said will be similar as that of company. And I happened to pay Rs. 1600/-. That is for 2 years.


Eureka Forbes calls me exactly when the warranty was over. That is on 7/Feb/2017. They said about regular check on the Filter I was surprised because I did not know regular meant AFTER WARRANTY. They said Coils have to be changed and it will cost 4.9k. I asked about warranty and obviously they said not. They refused to accept the extended warranty. Following which they just cleaned the filter and took leave.


On 18/FEB/2017, the Aquaguard stopped working. I raised an issue for which they came and checked to say the PCB is gone. Now I am without Aquaguard, Stuck between the Company and the warranty, Buying water from outside.


If you are going for this. Make sure you enquire everything properly because they Speak something to Sell but their After sale followup is very poor.
