Are you being cheated?

I own an Eureka Forbes Aquaguard iNova for the last 4 years. This year we decided to stop the service contract as the franchise was not providing us with any additional value, charging us on an annual basis and the service staff appear only when the contract renewal is due.

My father-in-law is an ex-Eureka Forbes franchisee service agent and he offered to clean up the machine. Guess what - when he opened the machine for cleaning he discovered that the service agent had taped the photo-resistor line and disconnected it from the sensor nut. In effect this means that the machine would NEVER show any error. In other words the franchise didn’t want us to call them for any additional services as there would never be any error reported as per the documentation provided. In my books this stands nothing short of cheating the customer.

Caveat Emptor!
