I am an Aquaguard user since 2007 or prior I think. I bought my first Aquaguard RO in Bangalore when I used to stay as bachelor in Munnekolal near Marathalli. That product was good and served its life and then in 2011 I switched to Aquaguard Sensa in a buyback exchange by Eureka Forbes and got a satisfactory deal.
Coming to Sensa, first problem was Tap, before installation itself the tap was broke out of the box, however as I very well knew how Eureka Forbes sales and service work, I hold the payment till all is working fine.
Promptly enough, the product was installed very next day with new tap. All worked fine till September 2013 and I must say the product worked really well in the period and changed only outer sediment filter cartridges.
In September 2013 as it’s been almost 2 yrs, naturally the cartridges for RO have gone(2 yrs is max lifetime usually); hence I called to Eureka Forbes and asked for all cartridge changes and it was done in time(did required few followups though costed around 4k).
Worked fine for a week and then started leaking from inside, no idea why and how, it required few technician visits and was solved and then tap was gone(again got replaced around 250/-) and finally adapter went off(replaced again around 1350/-).
Also the visits were outside warranty so visit charges were applicable; Now recently, my water purifier’s UV LED has started blinking always and dont fill water in the tank, most probably needing a UV lamp replacement which may cost me a bomb again or a circuit board failure, dont know yet; however I have learnt to bypass the UV mode and make it to work through RO mode.
I have experienced Eureka forbes products from long time and on water purifiers I can safely say that the products they sell are very good, I have compared them with every other available water purifier in market and then only bought. The support needs a lot of improvement.
This Sensa product has loads of electronics which is not good at all and it is very confusing for its own technicians. However I must add the product delivers very good quality sweet water and I haven’t found any other purifier having such functions and delivering quality sweet water in TDS of more than 500ppm, in my area of Horamavu.
I just wish If Eureka Forbes can make a product which dont have much electronics and works straight i.e. RO->UV->UF->SMPS+ and done. No led and no detections. May detect cartridge/water level but not the actual functioning of machine, which is currently the case and makes life miserable for average user like me, when some led stops the functioning of purifier and no water is filtered and stores in tank.
