The service is definitely bad. I have a Eureka Forbes Aqua guard Designa model since 4 years and getting it serviced is a major struggle inspite of having AMC. The technicians never come to service on time. Since they never call before coming, it is not necessary that I am home and they put comment "door locked" and go away.
Apparently Eureka forbes has joined this forum and is trying to solve peoples problems and I got a call from them for scheduling a servicing. I had specifically mentioned not to come between 11-5 since I have water cut. The technician arrived at 4 p.m on sunday and said its Ok, he could service a water purifying filter without water !!!! Strange !! I had to send him away and asked him to come back next day when there was water .
I also wonder what is included in the AMC, the technicians never carry the baby filters required to be changed every 6 months. They are not available for buying either from them. After exhausting the initial few filters I had gotten with my product, the technician started just cleaning the old ones (Which are totally brown by then) and using the same ones. I had to go and buy new filters from a local shop for them to use. It is strange that a local shop has them where as the aqua guard themselves dont have products they use in the filters.
Thirdly, I dont think their technicians ever recieve training. Last time, my pipe was leaking a drop of water. The technician wanted to put a tape over it to solve that problem, without even trying to figure out why it was happening. When I insisted he opened the pipe and it turned out that the pipe was fitted a little loose and the leak went away when he tightened it.
With so much competition in the market , I wonder how such companies expect to survive ? I am just waiting for my AMC to expire to move on to a better product. Anyone have any experience with the new Philips water purifier ?
