Eureka Forbes service Review

This is not a review of the product but the service provided by Eureka Forbes. Initially I had purchased the Aquasure platinum from Girias Store in Bangalore. The knowledge of the staff at Girias was very poor and they could not provide any information about the product. I was just giving assurance that this is the best product and will completely purify the water.


After purchase, and calling the service numbers for installation, a service engineer turned up after 3 days. He tested the water and declared it too ’Hard’ for this product and said that this product cannot be installed. The TDS level indicated a score of 539. On enquiringly as to why the same is not mentioned on either the product cover, manual or on the company website; he had no answers and just informed that he will not install the product. On demanding installation he just replied that Eureka forbes will not take any responsibility for the product. He kept up-selling the mineral RO product of the company. Despite explaining that the water score could vary on a day to day basis, he refused to install and went away.


Being left with no choice, we then exchanged the product for the mineral RO product ’Elegant RO’; the Girias store realising our predicament promptly withdrew the discount we had earlier received and we ended up shelling out a further 4K on the product. The same service person came to install the product. I insisted on checking the water quality again and the score came out to ’256!!!’. He just gave a sheepy smile to this. The installation was poor as the person clearly seemed to be in a hurry. The back panels of the product were loose and I had to insist on the person fixing it up.


While the product seems good, the service has certainly a lot to improve upon!! Eureka Forbes need to mention clearly the limitations of its product in terms of water TDS level on its product cover, brochure and manual!! They just cannot expect customers to buy one product and then forcibly upsell a higher value product!
