I bought a water purifier of Eureka Forbes (as told by the salesman in Hometown) in September 2009. It was working fine for a couple of months and then suddenly stopped working (It stops working every now and then). Only then I realised how difficult it is to get the servicing guys of Eureka to com and fix it. This water purifier stops quite frequently and only after switching it on and off a few times it starts working again. We went out for a weekend and returned to see the water purifier has spilled water all around the kitchen (No, it was not kept switched on by mistake. If you call the Eurreka Forbes guys, they say your product is from Forbes and give a number from Mumbai to contact. You call at the number, they will say we will send someone, but it never happens.
Even the free servicing suppose to be done within the first year when it is in warranty is not done after numerous requests. Instead they give your phone number to private service providers who start bugging you to subscribe for their service. I went by the brand name that I had heard since childhood, which I should not have done at all. Should have gone for one of the new age water purifiers from Kent. Eureka Forbes has the worst after sales service I have ever seen.
