I bought this some where around 2-3 years ago, it appeared to be a decent filter as I had been a bachelor at that time. I wanted a simple one which doesnt involve the "expertise" of a trained individual. It felt it better becos:
There was no need for any installation for the running water.
There was no need for any electricity.
It was easy to clean.
The only re-placeable part was the filter, so there would be any other issues other than that.I picked up in the store for 1, 800. After a few months, it stopped working I called the support center and they had sent the person to replace it.
The person charged 350 for the candle and he cleaned it properly and installed it. The tricky part is to install this without the air-lock.I found it satisfactory for the price I had paid. After 6-7 months I had to change the filter, so again I called up the same guy. He came and said that the earlier model was a failure, so that they had stopped it. Now they have a different model so that I can opt for that.
I said that I just want the candle for the present model, so he suggested I can use the candle which was meant for the new model which was Rs.450. The only difference I found was that, they had enlarged the candle so big that it occupies 1/4 of the top portion of the water storage area. Any how I agreed and bought it.Last month while cleaning it, we found that the carbon filter was completly broken, again I called him.
This time again he did the pre-sales for a new model and said that my en-larged candle model was also a failure and said moreover Aqua Sure is a product of Forbes Ltd, and not of Eureka Forbes. He justed suggested some expensive models and also gave the option of going for the "compactable" filter for Rs.650. They had doubled up the candle cost in 2-3 years. I was annoyed at the frequent change of models and the raising costs of the candle. So I said that I had enough with the Eureka Forbes and I wanted to buy something else.
