Love the story.

"Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American city" by Matthew Desmond is the Pulitzer award-winning non-fiction book. The book represents the brutal truth of poverty in America. The book is written in three parts each carrying real-life stories.

The stories are like.

The book told about eight families in the Milwaukee area, all facing eviction.

Vanetta waiting on her court case because she with her friend robbed some woman so that she could support her children.

Arleen lost her older children to foster care and is struggling with the other two children.

Larraine frustrates the people around her with her inability to manage money.

There are too many stories like that and these stories give you perspective. Most of them about the families that spend up to 75% of their income on rent and the left money on other things. It shows their inability to manage money.

The author actually spent his time with those people to collect their problems to write this book. So it shows his quality work.

The book is highly recommended. I also enjoy it.
