After going to the express avenue for 2 times to watch movies, the third time I have been to EA yesterday to see the shopping malls, the Infrastructure is massive and the construction is professional but when it comes to the customer focus it doesn’t score much.
Moment I went inside the mall after parking my vehicle and having a cup corn in my hand as I walked into the mall, a guy with a walkie talkie was literally staring at me as though I was a terrorist and moment I neared him, his reactions change little bit sociable. I guess It is a hostile environment when compared to other malls. It is not the brick and mortar that matters, because there is no soul inside this gigantic building and that is where the old classic malls like Spencer Plaza scores high.
Another very foremost difference is the shops at EA are not at all affordable even for the Affluent class. Only time will tell how people are going to shop. Yes, few brands like BULCHEE Leather which I am a fan of their products is having an exclusive show room at EA and like that many top brands will have their niche customers. Whatever be it, there is long way to go for both shoppers and the shopping malls.
