I finished reading The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan last week, and I would surely recommend this book to any and all fantasy lovers out there! This is the first book of the Wheel of Time series.
However, before we delve into the review, it is to be made clear that this is not a very good choice for a beginner of fantasy, and patience is a requirement to go forward. This is majorly because the pacing of this book is pretty slow, sometimes it feels that many chapters have passed but the story in itself hasn’t moved forward, however, this is not actually the case but it sure does feel that way.
Apart from the pacing, the story is a masterpiece, and when looked at as the beginning of the The Wheel of Time, it is the perfect beginner to the epic series that this is to become.
