I am an unfortunate customer who happened to buy Faber cooktop and chimney for my new kitchen. We were fooled by the appearance the product. I am highlighting the issues that we are facing with the hob.
Product design issue:
Not enough heat on all the three burners.
Flame getting diverged outside and the center of vessels not getting heated up - Impossible to cook poori, tadka etc.
As the flame diverge outside, handles of vessels getting heated. Even the heat resistant handles are getting heated so much.
Again due to diverging flame, the cook’s abdomen gets burned. Cannot stand near to the stove and cook - Very difficult for cooking chapati.
Cracks on glass top due to excess heat. Not possible to touch the glasstop due to heat. We complained about this and their person after inspection told us it’s due to wiping of the glasstop with rough cloth. This is utter nonsense.
Installation issues:
Nobody turned up for installation even after two months of purchasing the product. Repeated calls were not accepted and turned down.
Plastic covering on the chimney is not removed. While installation this was not removed. Now the the plastic is melted. We have tried to remove the plastic coating. We have realized that this should have been done at the time of installation and it’s impossible to do this on a mounted chimney. The plastic has permanently stained the chimney.
We are extremely disappointed by the product. The only reason I cannot change the stove is just because the granite is cut. Even though we have invested Rs 32000 for the Faber stove we are not using the it. We are still using our old stove to save LPG and time.
We have complained to faber dealer about this problem, but they don’t have any solution to it. They charge for each and every thing, installation, site visit etc
I could meet many customers like this who got cheated by faber and we don’t recommend this product to anyone else as well.
