I bought a Faber Glass hob Fussion 472 for Rs. 16150 MRP 18990and glassy chimney as well for Rs. 10290 on 4 June 09 and started using from Aug 09 after shifting to my new residence.On 14 July 10 I started using gas hob in the morning and after 15 minutes the whole top glass of hob was broken with a big sound without any reason.
I called up Faber service centre and technician came after 3 reminders and told me that It will cost me Rs. 7300 ++to replace the glass and when I asked about the guarantee. I was told there is no gurantee on glass parts even during the warranty period.
I really feel cheated by Faber and the dealer who sold me the Glass top hob.It was their duty to explain me that glass parts are not covered under warranty and will cost me half the gas hob price.
Fabre is supposed to be a good company but selling sub standard products to Indian market and the glass they are using is not heat resistant.Most of the companies Indian as well are outsourcing the parts from china which are all sub standard and dumping sub standard products which are not at all durable.
I would advise don’t ever think of buying Glass top hobs to all otherwise you will also repent like me and waste your hard earned money to these so called MNCs for giving you sub standard products which they can not dare to sell in their own countries.
