Faber - can think twice before you buy

I want to share my pathetic experience with Faber customer care so all those who are looking forward to buy any of Faber product can think twice and make more informed decisions.


I was having no preference for a particular brand so purchased whatever was available and suggested by the interior designer without doing any research on my part.


It was a kitchen chimney of Faber brand; everything was smooth till I called their customer care for installation of the chimney. I tried calling their customer care number(1800 209 3484) after three four attempts and wasting 20 minutes I sent a mail to their customer care mail ID(customercare@faberspa.com) on 29th of March, got a reply on the same day stating that my request is taken and it will addressed shortly.


Got a call from one of their technician after few days but this guy didn’t seemed much interested in ducting(cutting a hole through the wall) instead he was very keen on installing a filter. Here it is important for you to understand that filter needs to be cleaned frequently and replaced every year which means recurring revenue for Faber. As I wanted ducting so finally after few days this guy came to my place just to say the person who will do the ducting is on a vacation. Over a week got passed in this whole thing and I was running out of patience as there was no response from Faber customer care.


I finally made up my mind to return the product back and then it started rolling again, shop keeper from whom I purchased the product called the Pune distribute and some senior customer support staff and I got some nhassurance that may be now it will get done….but I was wrong. I gain got a call from the same technician and he said that he will come tomorrow(8th April) morning. As expected this guy didn’t came neither he cared to call so I called him and guess what……he said that that they do not do ducting(same old story) and the guy who dose is not picking his call. This time I got passed off and called the shop keeper that I do not want this piece of s* and he should refund my money.
