It introduced people to a whole new era of social networking.
Suddenly everyone left the obsolete orkut and plunged into FB.
Like became the buzz word.
All started writing on "walls" and posting "comments". Pictures were being shared.you suddenly came across ur old school/college friends.
That’s that.
what next?
Highlighting my observation below:
Please note: There are exceptions too.but generally the trend is as follows:
People just go on adding anybody on their friends list
-just acquaintances, distant -distant relatives, someone you met on a
train. Someone whom you never met.office people whom you hardly know.people whom you don’t like, neighbor’s relatives.etc etc
Thinking that you are most popular when you have most number of friends on fb list is so childish!
and we have adults behaving in this manner!
People keep updating every small thing they do.updates are like:
-I am Having coffee.
-I am walking my dog
-I made xxxxxx for lunch today.
-I am having so much work today. U wouldn’t be writing on fb if you actually hd work in office!
"Doing nothing".is also a status update.ROFL
And the so called’friends’ start "liking" and commenting on such useless updates.
I dont understand the use of this.The person who gives such updates on FB and the
persons liking/commenting on such things surely have nothing to do!
- There are these folks who are engaged , soon to be married and newly wed couples.
They are the height.they will share pictures of each and every moment.all lovedy dovey.
Honeymoon pics are being shared.
Come on guys, these are ur private special moments, why do u want to have this Public Display of affection?
Then they post pictures of the gifts they give to each other.ranging from soft toys, chocs, gadgets, cellphones, laptops.etc etc.
These FB freaks are total attention seekers.who just want to project themselves in some ’hep’, ’oh so happy’ manner.which most of them may not be in reality.!
They are there for mere show off.
They will post the things they did, gifts bought/received, what they are thinking! etc etc
How much time do such people waste on FB? They are apparently living on this site.right from good morning to good night.
There is a world beyond FB as well.
Privacy has also been the major concern of most users.they say u can hide your activity/photos from those you want.but this is not actually the case.There have been serious issues regarding invasion of privacy.
FB is a nice place if used appropriately.
to get in touch with long lost childhood friends, discussing and being part of social events.
Discussing social issues.participating in environment awareness drives.like Earth hour etc.
Joining fan pages of your favorite celebrity, writers, poets, actors, sportspersons, music directors.and virtually meeting like-minded people.
So its up to us how we use it.lets use it for good, positive and constructive causes rather than just advertising ur own self by posting each and every movement of urs and alongside photos of almost everything you claim to do!
My recommendation is’Yes’ only if its used for good positive purpose rather than mere attention seeking.
