FamilyEducation.com is the parent centered portion of a larger site called the Learning Network. There are articles, message boards, activities for families, printables, and much more. Current areas of discussion include the pros and cons of holding a child back, perceptions of Harry Potter as evil and Easter activities and printables. There are specific sections for each grade as well as areas for special needs including gifted education. Review sections include parent written reviews of popular books, movies and software for children. There are a number of newsletters including an online book club for kids, product safety recalls, quizzes and trivia (for fun) and many more. One of my favorite parts of the site is the school help section with printable and downloadable helps for almost every subject.
Check out the student area for homework research, games and fun.
The site also links to myschoolonline where schools can build their own web sites. My sons class has its own site and its very helpful to be able to check his homework if hes absent or send a quick email to his teacher.
