The film is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of
Yash Raj Films .[4] The film is scheduled for release on 15
April 2016.

Development
On 16 December 2013, Yash Raj Films announced the
project with Khan as the main lead and Sharma as the
director.[7] On 25 March 2014, it was announced that the
three-time Academy Award winner make-up artist Greg
Cannom is going to develop the look of Khan in the film. [8]
Khan’s underwent 3D scanning for his look as a young boy.
[9] Earlier reported, Khan was to play a 17 year old boy in
the film, [10] but the actor denied the news, claiming that he
is not doing the role of a 17 year old.
