Actor Shah Rukh Khan has done a wonderful job playing the role of an actor. An obsessed fan of him who looks almost identical to him desires to meet him in person. But his fan named Gaurav Chandana desires to meet him in person but gets pushed off and insulted by Shah Rukh’s guards.
The story goes that Gaurav decides to retaliate for his insult and perpetrates crime under his name getting Shar Rukh into hot waters. The story does not even touch the slightest reality of life. I mean, how can a man commit a crime under someone else’s identity. Somehow, it does not add up.
This is like cat and mouse story where Shah Rukh Khan is running after his fan Gaurav till the end. Gaurav keeps stalking Shah Rukh for one and only one thing i.e. an apology. Overall the movie does not have any romance, comedy or carry out any strong message for the public. To sum up, it can only be said that if the movie Fan did not have Shah Rukh Khan tag and the song "jabra fan", there is nothing to watch in the movie. As far as the song is concerned, I believe Vishal and Shekhar have done an excellent job in composing the “jabra fan” song. It truly is entertaining, actually more than the movie itself. A little disappointed with the movie as I was expecting more “masala” as per SRK standards. It is shown that stars are self-centric and for them a fan is just another person which is very well shown in the movie. Although, the total collections till date for the movie is 82.95 CR but saw a decline in collections in its second week. Needless to say, there was something lacking in the movie.
