There are so many reviews out here about fashionandyou e-commerce website. Let me share, with you my nightmarish experience with this company.


Somewhere, in august this year, I placed an order for a sony ericsson ck15i txt pro cell phone from fashionandyou.com website. I chose the COD (cash on delivery ) option. As, is the procedure with this, company I recieved a call from the customer care to confirm the order ( they say, confrimation is required for COD’s). while, confirming the order, I very clearly asked the person if i’ll be recieving all the standard accessories i.e, a headset, 2 gb micro SD memory card, battery charger,  along the phone. The executive, assured me twice that i’ll be recieving everything in an unsealed box, as they get from the sony company. After taking this is assurance I went ahead and confirmed the order (this is where I became the jack ass).


Now, i’ll talk about all the frauds of this website :




  1. on the website they showed the actual price ot this model of phone to somewhere around 11, 000/-




rupees and that they were selling if for 7, 099/-.+ delivery charges extra ( 150/-) so the total cost would


come up to 7, 249/-.


I checked this on the net and found out the actual cost of the phone in a showroom is 8, 000/- rupees.


so anyway, I taught i’ll be getting cheaper than the price and decided to place the order ( here, i was


on    the path to becoming a jack ass).


This first point shows that these people are very well capable of lying openly on their webiste.




  1. I recieved the order after 1 month of the order booking. ( even tough I was told that I would be




recieving  WITHIN 3 to 4 weeks)


This second point shows that these people are slower than snails.


3.Finally, I recieved the order through courier, 3 days back. The courier guy did’nt allow me to open the


box until the payment is done. Fine, so I pay the cash (7, 249) and send the courier boy off and ask


my  bro to open the box and check it. The next 10 minutes is the funniest cause me and him were just


searching the box like rats searching for leftovers. For What?  Well, this company, had NOT sent me the


headset, 2 gb memory card and warranty card. There was just the handset, a battery charger, a battery


and a bunch of documents, in some language that I don’t even know ( No english manual, mind u).


This shows that these people are outright careless, goofy and possible frauds.




  1. Next, I immediatly called there customer care, and complained about the same. After, being transterred




from their, sales to returns to sales to returns branches ( at the cost of my std money, their number is


not toll free), one person told me that a complaint had been registered and a reply as to what I have to


do(whether to wait to get the remaining accessories or return the product ) after 3 days. I had no other


option, but to wait for three days for their reply.


This shows the hopless state of the customer care division. They have to connection to the backend watsover to rectify the problems immedialty.




  1. After waiting for 3 days I did’nt get any responses from them. so I only had to call them, at the cost of




my phone charges. As is their, habit I was again thrown from sales to returns to sales to returns endless


times( remeber, they don’t have automatic transferring, u have to cut the call and call them again to


connect to different departments.). And the ppl whom I talked to had no idea about the status of my


complaint.


This shows their very lethargic behaviour to their customers. We have to fall behind them like betaals, to recieve proper service.


6.Finally, one customer care fellow, made me wait, wait, wait....(told me he was pulling up some details) and finally said me that they have not heard from their delivery department, so it was best for me to return the product.


Now, I dont have to tell you what this shows, you can access it for yourself.




  1. Okay, so I gladly agree and ask him for the procedures, which are like this:




I have to courier back the product to them within 10 days time limit; after they recieveing the product,


they’ll check it and if they find it in shipped conditions, they’ll send me a check for the bill amount


( thankfully, they’ll bear the courier charges but not my phone call charges), 10 days from the day they


reciveced the product.


Now, I really don’t know wat to make of this. should I trust them and sit and wait for them to send me my money? after this ghastly experience should I belive my money will be returned? I have to decide that now.( any help, would be welcome).


A peice of adive for you guys, out there: Plz don’t fall for this websites elegant appearance and marketing gimmicks. If you want to buy anything, plz go to correct authorised showrooms and buy quality goods.


P.S : For ppl, who seem to love this website, I am a person with strict standards and work ethics.I run a business myself and my customers are my gods. I don’t like any business that does’nt respect this fact and whose work ethics are so hopeless. Delivering, incomplete good If ive heart your sentiments, plz excuse me.
