So precisely said that however better a product is, it fails to enthrall its potential buyers when the service is poor. I waked into a Fastrack showroom at Annanagar, Chennai(a mini store) to buy a pair of sunglasses with UV protection. This was a minimal specification to break-through the hot weather. Moreover why I never opted for a showroom with all brands were because the collections with regards to individual brands might be few, this was my conception earlier.
I walked into this fastrack showroom after a busy office day and found they had many cabinets. Each cabin consisting of 20 and odd were locked up and the glasses when referred with be opened up with a sales professional. When asked to open a particular cabinet, the sales men when called did not show much interest in getting it down and pointed me to call another(he dare do that with me). I did not want to show my frustration and asked him to open the cabinet and he did with a state of lassitude. I never conclude upon buying them after trying a single glass and asked him to open another cabinet. Sales end people/representatives can prove to be a whole lot of disaster.
With the amount of COMPETITIVENESS in brands and products, Fastrack cannot survive in the long run with such outlets good enough to SPOIL the brand image. Truly this store at Annanagar, near shanthi colony is a decay in the bone for Fastrack.
Product good+ Service poor= Eventually loses buyers
Product good+ service smart= Attracts Customer
A concrete example is, Lava, FLY and micromax mobiles are cheaper for the similar features as that of Nokia or Samsung branded phone only because they have no service outlets for these mobile companies in India like as Nokia. Once broken becomes unfit and ready to be thrown. Dell mobile was a failure for the same.
