Fava on Vittal Malaya Road is the latest hot spot for Spanish, Lebanese, Mediterranean, Greek, Moroccan, Italian and Turkish cuisine.
The décor is simple yet stunning. Right outside the restaurant there are beautiful canopies that make the restaurant look like a promenade. They have beautiful wooden chairs outside with cushion padding, they atmosphere outside is so serene it will make you feel that you are in some garden hotel in Greece or Europe.
The interior are done up in wood with blue accents, to add a pop of color. The huge mirror will give you the impression that restaurant is twice as big. The decorator and designer have done an incredible job with the décor of the Fava.
The menu of Fava is an exhaustive list comprising of all the specialties of each cuisine. The restaurant offers a host of starters. The Greek and Moroccan delicacies are served with pita bread to keep up the tradition. The Italian and Indian are served with sauces and chutneys respectively.
Some of the recommend dishes at Fava are Cured Meat Platter which has Parma ham, mortedella, Salame Milano, Marinated olives and melons. Chef Abhijit creates a special Live Micro Green Salad wherein he mixes three varieties of Micro green with other vegetables to create a futuristic and one of a kind salad. The honey mustard grilled chicken burger is amazing.The chicken is cooked until tender so that it absorbs the herbs and sauces completely. The Greek style vegetable Moussaka is another favourite.
Favo also offers herbal teas and other infusions to clear the palette like Camomile, Moroccan Mint, Fennel Mint basil etc. You will be spoilt for choices when you reach the dessert section which hosts Tiramisu, Baklava, Saffron and orange infused prunes and many others.
Fava is a fine dine restaurant and has maintained the standard accordingly. The quality was the food is exceptional and for the kind of variety you get, shelling out a few extra bucks doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
