I LOVED THESE BOOKS AND I LOVE YOU TOO

I grew up during WW II so there were not a lot of books published during that time.

MY 5 FAVORITE CHILDHOOD BOOKS ARE:

1) I loved books that rhymed like:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,

All of the Kings horses

And all of the King men,

Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

2) I loved’Alice in Wonderland’ because I was intrigued about a girl who could walk through a mirror and end up in a land where there were many strange people and wonderful things to see and do.

3) I loved to read about Robin Hood, Maid Marion and the Merry Men who lived in a Forrest.

They robbed the rich and gave to the poor and I liked that idea, (to me it was a way of giving Charity).

When I was a girl I lived on the prairies where there aren’t a lot of trees so I guess that living in a Forrest sounded very nice to me.

4) I loved the book called’A Secret Garden’. This was a book about a young girl who teaches a young boy, (who has many disabilities), how to learn to live again behind the wall in a magical garden.

5) I loved the Nancy Drew Mystery Series. These were books about a teen aged girl who solved Mysteries. I couldn’t wait until the next book came out.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS:

As I was writing this list it brought back wonderful memories to me. I hope you got some please out of reading

it.
