Amazon shipped my order through this notorious courier. The tracking information says it reached my city on 13 August 2014. It ought to have been delivered to the addressee the same day or the next day. On 14 Aug 2014 the tracking information marked the item ‘out for delivery’ but no delivery was made. On the 16th it was once again marked ‘out for delivery’ but no one turned up to deliver the consignment. Amazon also sent me a message that my order was to be delivered that day. The item was loaded on to the delivery vehicle at 1225 hours on 14 August 2014. Till date my order is on ‘FedEx vehicle for delivery’.
The courier having received the item four days back in the city failed to deliver. FedEx slept over the delivery for four days. Obviously, time and commitment matter nothing to such business concerns. Finally, I contacted the customer care at Amazon and asked them why they were playing such a joke with a customer whose order was fully paid up. I was asked to wait till Monday, 18 Aug. I refused to wait any more and instead requested a refund which Amazon says they have initiated.
Another of my orders with Amazon unfortunately shipped through the same unprofessional FedEx, is being shown as having gone to an incorrect facility. This is the message flashed on my account page on the Amazon website:
//The delivery of your package has been delayed because of the package arriving at an incorrect courier facility.//
Amazon is saying sorry but sticking to the same courier. I wonder why.
