Fedex - must read – big fraud in charging custom duty by customers in all over world by FedEx
I purchased some kids cycle lights from China for distribution in my school on Christmas …
The cost of lights is 75 usd(4500 rupees) only I paid product amount and shipping charges to my seller in china .
He shipped the lights by FedEx awb no (593202620946) on dated ( 8/4/2014 )
I get the lights within 7 days at my address, now FedEx ask me to submit 140 USD for custom charges (8400 rupees).
It was a great shock for me because price of product is just 75 USD and custom duty 140 USD.
I received the parcel because if I not received this parcel. My all money got wasted because I already paid to seller.
When I get the parcel I found parcel is repacked by FedEx by blue tape it seems someone opened this parcel in way… when I inquired about this they say, parcel is open for custom checking, after calling customer care I opened my parcel and when I counted I found some of the articles are missing I complaint to FedEx . But not get satisfactory reply till date….

When I got the parcel, courier boy gave me some papers ie: custom duty invoice/receipt invoice no – 203189635 dated 11 April 2014= 8365 rupees ( 140 USD) (see picture).
One Photostat copy of bill of entry no 452860(11/04/2014)(see picture).
I call customer care instantly on toll free no and right complaint for missing articles
And for the original receipt of my custom amount deposit by FedEx in government of India account. Because the papers I get is FedEx stationery not on Indian government paper
I was told by FedEx that this cutting on bill of entry is done by custom officer (I attached here all the doc copy there is a cutting by FedEx persons who are employed in international airports of india for manipulating money for his pockets).
After my complaint i get a mail in my mail box that FedEx sent the original receipt by courier (590413102763) and they also told me for missing article they are not responsible because they delivered packed packet at my premises ….

Must see what i get in envelops
A.Again photocopy of bill of entry no 452860(see – pictures)
B.Photocopy receipt of custom duties Callahan no 8650, cheque no – 367123(on the top of paper they written my FedEx awb no – 593202620946 by hand … please check in particulars of the remittance. You see in the line of 452860 there is only 3387 rupees (56 USD) is deposit in government of India account.
Note: please check in picture both the Photostat doc is duly at least by federal express corporation) with blue stamp
*my question is*
I pay 8365(140 USD) rupees to FedEx (India) on FedEx bill.
And FedEx deposit only 3387 rupees (56 USD)
So the difference is 8365-3387=4978
Where is 4978 rupees (83 USD)
May be someone enjoy evening ………………….
