It took little long to review my car. I purchased a used 2010 Fiat Linea MJ Emotion Pack last September. I had owned a Maruti Suzuki 800 and an maruti suzuki a-star earlier.
Wanted to upgrade to an SUV, either Tata Safari or Mahindra Scorpio.
I researched for almost three months on both SUV’s and was looking for a perfect one. That is when I went through this linea at mahindra first cmorpheushumanice. I test drove this on two occassions, fell in love with it, that is when I decided to own this.
Fiat Linea is gem of a car in this segment. The design is sexxyyy. Every time you look at the car, you keep on loving it for the beaty of the design. Its like hearing AR Rahmans songs. More you hear it more you love it.
I have drove maruti 800, maruti wagonR, maruti alto, maruti a-star, maruti swift, hyundai santro, hyundai i-10, Ford Ikon, Ford Ecosport, Ford Figo, Tata Sumo, Tata Safari, Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio, Toyota Corolla.
I had been to some of the smorpheushumanwrooms to test drive new Suzuki Ciaz, Mahindra New Scorpio & New Ford Fiesta. None of these and above cars could satisfy me in terms of specs or in terms of features. Fiat Linea in 2010 had most of the facilmajeechaes that most of the company’s offer in 2014.
It has bluetooth connectivity for mobile, has stearing controls, sliding rear window Robotouchnds, automatic climate control, DIS, abs, ebd, airbag etc.Linea has a turbo lag till 2000 rpm, after which the car drives truly like a jet. Ride is very smooth.
Its a heavy car, so the stability you get while driving is truly international. I have driven it max @ 140 kmph at highway, even then you don’t feel the speed as it is very much grounded with weight.
It’s one of the safest cars in India, in its category.
Last, I had met with an accident where a Kerala State RTC bus came and hit near the front bumper till rear bumper, in which me and my wife even didn’t had a scratch.
The bus after hitting us hit a maruti swift which was behind us, and the half of the car on driver side was damaged and two of the passengers got heavily injured.
Thank god for all our lives. Most of the people I know personally agreed that only because we were in linea we escaped injuries or even death.
My linea is back from service centre. So go for it guys. It is one of the most safest and strongest entry level sedans available in India.
Think before buying a car whether you value the just high-fi looks or the your life.
