After I bought Tata Safari Petrol VXi 4x4 in June 2007, I have been aspiring to own a small car(hatchback) for my familys local use, which come true on last week when I took delivery of my FIAT Palio Stile 1.6 Sport(Carbon Black) from Concord Motors-Kochi. She is the "Queen" of my "King" TATA Safari Petrol VXi 4x4(Quartz Black).
I did the test drives on Suzuki A-Star, Swift, Hyundai i-10 & i20, Indica Vista and Palio Stile 1.6 Sport(all petrol versions b.cos I like petrol vehicles only) and Palio Stile 1.6 Sport is the one who took my heart b.cos of its great look, finish, strong body, powerful & smooth engine, inside space, ground clearance, driving comfort more over its price, which is less than all other models.
All the above models are more priced compared to Palio Stile 1.6 Sport, this vehicle cost me Rs. 399, 776/- ex-show room after Rs. 50, 000/- cash discount. Palio Stile is well suited for driving in city as well as highways. Its A.C. is quiet and cool fast, no power lag while the A.C. is on. Visibility is also excellent and its powerful twin-headlights are its own attraction which no other similar vehicles have. My Palio has crossed 700 kms so far without any trouble. Im absolutely happy with it.
Ofcourse, I use them cautiously & handle carefully. I do not care its FE and never calculate its milage/average, fully knowing that a 4 cyl. 16valves 1.6 litre Engine needs more fuel to pull 1.5 tonne load on highways, and still it is the best fuel efficient engine compared to 1.6L Maruti SX4 Petrol car, which gives hardly 9 kms average. I recommend Fiat Palio Stile 1.6 Sport to any one who is looking for a powerful hatchback in affordable price, full value for money.
