Tinsel town treats

A film magazine is primarily for gossip. Right? Wrong.

A film magazine is for those fans who can’t get enough of stars

on the silver screen and want to know about their personal

life. A little insight into the divas or the demi-Gods.

While some magazines believe and stand by yellow journalism

and yellow journalism alone. Filmfare is probably the only

one that maintains a fine balance between the gossip and

actual information.

So the stars are public property. They are not entitled to

privacy even in their personal life. And most other magazines

like to splash stories of rumoured affairs all over the front

cover. Most of the times there ain’t any truth in these

stories. They are just baseless rumours usually created by

the scribes itself.

But with Filmfare that isn’t the case. They have a maintained a standard

and usually live by it. Apart from which there are good quality

pictures to begin with. And alongwith the gossip there are

nice features on the stars.

Especially the photo feature on a particular star every

issue is quite a visual treat.

Then there are interviews which give you an update on the

professional and personal life of the stars.

Hey and best of all who can forget the free gifts - unique

with each issue of Filmfare!

Although Zee Premiere was a much-better magazine vis-à-vis

the photo features and the editorial content, Filmfare is

indeed the second best.

And in the absence of Premiere, Filmfare is probably

better than the rest of the trashy magazines floating

around the market.
